Be a Chemist for a Day

On Monday 17 August 2015, the Year 9 Forensic class attended Victoria University in St Albans to participate in the “Be a Chemist for a Day” program. The students converted aspirin to deep heat, investigated: magnetic particle technology, chromatography, chemical reactions and visible emissions, and designed an electrochemical series. The students then investigated how the techniques could be used in forensic investigations.
