8G Camp

 By Vincent Pham of 8G

The camp started well and ended with great success. We all had a good time and were able to escape from school and its strenuous work.

First, we went to Gooram Falls, where people had the chance to either go swimming in the water or enjoy the scenery. To finish off the day we went on a walk at Mt Wombat and then it was lights-out.

Day 2 started off with breakfast and preparing lunch. Then we headed off to meet our canoeing instructor at Lake Nagambie and before we knew it, we were in the water paddling to Chinaman’s Bridge. The next stop was Goulburn Dam, which was where water were gathered for agriculture, at the end of the day we had camp where ate marshmallows and told stories.

The last day had a feeling of nostalgia, I was happy that I could go home but also sad too, however before we head for school, we visited Roz, who looks after the school camp. We did some activities at her farm and had afternoon tea. I had a fun time at camp, hopefully next year will be just as enjoyable.

Thanks to Mr Ryan, Ms Hausler and Mrs Bev Davies for organising our camp, and looking after us!
