Dear Sacred Heart Community

I would like to apologise for having to cancel our Opening of the School Year Mass suddenly late last week. Some circumstances have intervened for which I again apologise. We will ensure that we can come together to celebrate Mass as a school and wider parish community very soon.

Coffee Van - Thank You

On Friday 26th March I would like to say thank you to all our parents and guardians for the way you supported your children and our school during the COVID lockdowns of 2020. In a very small gesture of thanks, I have organised a coffee cart to be here on the morning of the 26th March. The school will pay for a free coffee/hot chocolate for all parents and guardians from 8.30am. Due to safety protocols the students will not be able to get a hot drink and we ask that parents whilst drinking their hot beverage stay within the designated areas. We will put out some chairs and you are invited to stay have a chat and even a second drink on us. Toddlers and preschoolers are warmly invited and baby chinos will be on the menu.

If you are free on this Friday morning, or can go into work a little later, please join us for a free drink and so we can say thank you.

School Captains 2021

Jakob, Thomas, Hanna, Anni
Jakob, Thomas, Hanna, Anni

Dear Parents/Guardians,

My name is Anni Mai .

I am the school captain of 2021 and what I want for our school community, is to create many future leaders.  As well, I believe that a good learning environment is important, to help inspire students to work towards their hope and dreams. What I hope to achieve is to assist the other leaders in organising and creating events for students from Foundation to Year 6 to participate in the life of the school.

Greetings Parents and Guardians,

My name is Thomas Kaszubski.

I became School Captain because I wanted to change the school so that it is more efficient, safe and entertaining for everyone. My hobbies consist mainly of Reading, Lego and Pokémon. One thing I would like to add to this school is free icy-poles at the end of the term so that the kids that don't get money all the time get to enjoy the amazing taste of kanga pops. I hope you enjoy getting to know me and what I want for this school

Dear Parents/Guardians,

My Name is Hanna Pham.

I am a Student Vice Captain at Sacred Heart Primary School.

My hopes and goals for 2021 are to make this school a happy, learning community. I am always there for any parent, teacher or student and as a School Captain, will try my best to make everyone comfortable and safe at school.

I hope you enjoyed reading about myself and my goals for this school year.

Sincerely, Hanna

Hi name is Jacob Parker.

I wanted to be a school vice captain so I could help out where I am needed. I want to help the teachers and students make our school even better by organising some activities and taking care of students when they need help.

Parents and Friends News

It was great to see another healthy level of parental support at last Friday's meeting. Hot Cross Bun orders went out on Monday and I ask that you support this fundraiser if possible. All money raised goes into buying resources and equipment for our students. Please take note of our Parents and Friends email if you need to make contact with the group.

Parent Helpers

A letter will go home early next week inviting parents and guardians to be involved in the classroom helper program. With COVID lockdowns and protocols imposed last year, the program which was reintroduced in 2019 had to be abandoned. As will be detailed in the letter, classroom helpers can be of a great assistance to our teachers, the program is a great way to be further enlightened about the education process and data shows that students of parents who are involved in the life of the school achieve better results.

Please stay safe

Yours Sincerely

Mark Tierney
