Mr. Nathan Black, Acting Principal

Thank you for the support and understanding over the recent weeks with managing the violent behaviour. Most of the students have been identified, parents contacted, and supports and consequences put in place. For the most part, it appears the behaviour in the yard has greatly settled and I thank you all for supporting this message.

The College Council Election process begins this week, calling for nominations. The College Council meets 8 times throughout the year and plays an important role in the success of the College. A well-informed and effective school council strengthens community confidence in the school and helps to build and secure the school’s reputation.

Nomination forms are available from the front office or by contacting red.cliffs.sc@education.vic.gov.au and are to be returned by 4pm this Friday, 5th of March 2021.

The college Investiture is tomorrow, Tuesday the 2nd of March, beginning at 2:30pm. The investiture is an important tradition in which we come together as a college to celebrate and recognise our student leaders. For the most part, this will be a closed ceremony, keeping in line with COVID Safe restrictions.

This Wednesday we will wish our swimming champions well as they compete in the Interschool Swimming Sports. Thank you to Ben Tallent for organising this event, and best wishes to our competitors.

Finally, I would like to announce Kate Archibald has been appointed to the Acting Assistant Principal role for the remainder of the term. Kate brings a lot of experience and knowledge to the role and I look forward to working with her further.
