Swimming Carnival
Mentone
Over the past two weeks we have been fortunate to hold all of our year level house swimming carnivals. It would appear that being stuck at home for a lot of 2020 has given our students a new motivation to get involved in all that the College offers, as we had huge numbers competing – especially in the senior carnival.
There were some epic batteles in many events with a lot of races coming down to the touch on the wall. The hard work our swim squad has been putting in at morning training certainly paid off with many posting fantastic personal best times.
Congratulations to the swimmers who accumulated the highest points score across the four individual championship races to be crowned year level champions. Special mention must go to our Captain of Swimming, Max Cronin who won his sixth title making it a clean sweep since he started at the College in year 7.
Well done to all students in McCristal House who won the overall house swimming championship for 2021.
