A word about student health and safety,

Student Health and Safety

Dear Parents and Carers,

For the safety of the students at CJC, when you or your child are packing their lunchbox, please follow these safety guidelines:

  • Do not send metal cutlery in the student's lunchboxes.
  • If your child likes their fruit/veggies cut up, please do all the cutting at home, knives should not be brought to school.
  • Do not bring nuts or nut products to school, we have children at risk of anaphylaxis to nut across all year levels.

Make sure that your child understands that at school, cutlery is for the sole purpose of eating, they are not to be brought to the playground and used as toys.

There are various bamboo, wooden and reusable plastic options, here are some ideas:

Thank you for your co-operation.

Examples of inexpensive cutlery (other than metal) readily available at supermarkets or camping stores.
