Teaching and Learning
With Easter just around the corner, I would like to take the opportunity to wish everyone a safe and relaxing break. Term one is always busy, particularly as we welcome our new families and settle into the new year. With many changes happening with how we are teaching and assessing our students, we would appreciate some feedback from our school community. At the beginning of next term, the Principal Team will be conducting student forums with every year level where we’ll be asking students how they are settling into school again after such a disruptive year last year. We will also be asking how they are finding the developmental approach to assessment (year 7 and 11) and if they think self-assessing their own learning behaviours is useful.
We would also like to gather some feedback from our parent community regarding Student Conferences, Developmental Assessment and Reporting. The survey is short and should only take 5 – 10 minutes to complete.
Thank you for a great start to the year – we look forward to continuing our work next term as we strive to achieve our school goal of maximising the learning growth for every student, albeit a little more refreshed!!
