Level 2
Welcome Back
The Level 2 teachers are excited to be holding our last week of remote learning and getting ready to welcome the students back into the classroom on the second week of Term 4. We would like to thank all the students and their families for all the hard work they have put it to help us to run our remote and flexible learning from home.
We will be holding a theme for each day of our first week back. As well as wearing your school uniform, you can add something extra to it such as a bright or sparkly hat, headband or socks. We will also be having a picnic with our soft toys. You can see the theme for each day in the activities listed on Seesaw.
We will continue doing weekly our Talk Time sessions. In these sessions students prepare, practise and speak about a topic in front of the class once a week. The students have an allocated day in which they speak every week. The timetable for what the topic is about each week will also be communicated to families through Seesaw. Make sure you are prepared and have practised for your day.
Our Inquiry topic for Term 4 is all about ‘Water’. We will be learning about where water comes from and its uses. We will also be expanding out learning about sea creatures. We have started our Inquiry learning by learning about where we can find and use water in and around our houses. For Reading, we have been working on the strategies of ‘Author’s Purpose’ and Fluency. In Writing, we continued use the steps of ‘planning’, ‘writing’ and ‘editing’ our writing pieces. We have started the term with Recount writing and expanding on our writing ideas. For Maths, we have been working on directions, fractions and Number activities.
Remember it is important that all students bring a drink bottle and nude food on their return to school. As the drink taps will be closed and we will not be allowed to send lunch boxes outside.
We look forward to seeing everyone back at school!
Kind Regards,
Level 2 Team
