Physical Education

Thank you to everyone who completed the PE Google Form - it’s great to hear such wonderful feedback and to get some idea of what learning is like from your side.

In the Middle and Senior classes, the lessons will continue with a focus on Target Games and Gymnastics for the Junior classes. It has been wonderful to see the Prep/1 faces through Seesaw and listen to their responses about Gymnastics. I especially enjoy seeing what they have learnt when they show their skills on video. I am looking forward to seeing all their videos as we move onto creating routines in Gymnastics.

In the Middle and Senior classes I have been impressed by how the students have improved their technology skills to provide us with photos and videos of their work too. I am looking forward to seeing their creativity when they start to create their own games and challenges. Towards the end of this term we will have a look into some traditional Aborignal Games and see how these can be adapted to play at home. Alongside practicing some of the fundamental motor skills of rolling, underarm and overarm throw.

Here is a piece of work from Imogen from last week's lesson, an excellent example of how she has achieved all the Success Criteria;

  • I can categorise sports into their family groups
  • I am able to modify and create my own game of Bowls at home
  • I can attempt to video my game and INSERT it to my work

And in the Prep/1 classes here is Khanh-Ha and James showing us their beautiful Doggie Yoga from last week's lesson.
