2/3UR

Phillip Island

This week the students of 2/3 UR looked at the scripture passage, Matthew Chapter 25: 31-40. Students read the scripture and began to dissect it into smaller parts in order to understand its meaning. They focused on three sentences that stood out from the scripture and made connections to themselves to explain each one. One of the sentences was ‘I was hungry and you gave me food,’ another was, ‘I was thirsty and you gave me a drink’, and the last sentence that students focused on was ‘I was a stranger and you welcomed me’. Students had to think of examples of actions that reflected each sentence. They later on looked for pictures of these actions to match.

All students shared what they discovered during their afternoon Meet and developed a better understanding of this very significant scripture.

Nelson: I had the chance to think about what each part of the scripture meant

Gracelyn: The passage was hard to understand but then I thought of examples and it helped me.

Destinho: I can see how helping others and being kind is important.

Nancy: I learnt that it is important to help everyone.
