COMMUNITY ART PROJECT

Dear Malvern Primary School Community,

As you may be aware, the church that sits on the corner of Burke Rd and Coppin St has been creating some lovely teddy bear installations during lockdown. These have been positioned in the glass Narthex that faces Burke Rd.

A new installation featuring Art work by Malvern Primary students, depicting the theme of 'kindness', will be going up in the Narthex on Monday the 14th September.

This community project was the initiative of Rev. Greg Crowe, a former MPS parent, and is designed to create a little joy and interest in the daily walks we are all going on during these times. The pictures, drawings and posters from our children will be greatly enjoyed by those who see them, particularly the elderly, vulnerable and those who live alone within our community.

Many of our students have already submitted work, either via email at gcrowe@netspace.net.au, or in person at the church drop off box situated in the undercover entrance to the church office next to the church car park in Coppin Street.

Please note that all artwork will be gratefully received up until Sunday 13th September.
