Holidays are usually a time when children might spend a lot of hours on technology, to have a break from school and learning. However, these holidays, we encourage the children to do as many screen free activities as possible. Play a board game, go for a bike ride, enjoy the sunshine!
As I have mentioned before, STEM is an approach to learning that incorporates the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. STEM tasks are open ended and could easily be something that you could do at home over the break. I have included two STEM tasks that I encourage you as a family to have a go at completing. Most materials that are needed can be found around your home. This is a fun way to engage children during the holidays.
As we know, the advice is that children from Prep-2 will be returning to school on the 12th of October. Therefore, we ask any Prep to 2 children who borrowed a school device to please return it along with the charger on their first day back at school. The 3-6 children can return their device when they return back to school at a later date.
We are continuing to offer any technical support to those who need it through our technicians at Source Central. Our technician Matt will be at school on Tuesdays but we strongly recommend that (if required) you call the help desk from Monday to Friday on the number listed below, as they can support you remotely as well.
