Mindful Creations: Ephemeral Art

Mrs Fisher's Art students in 8G and 8I have been exploring the many forms of ephemeral art.

Ephemeral art can include anything from sculpture to performance, but the term is usually used to describe art that cannot be embodied in any lasting object.

Please view the image gallery above to see some of the creative and beautiful artworks the students have created during isolation.

Year 9 Ceramics: Picasso Masks

Mrs Miller's Year 9 Ceramics students created some incredible work this term.

The students were asked to create a cubist style mask. They researched the artist Pablo Picasso and developed an understanding and appreciation for the Cubist period of art.

Although the masks are usually made out of clay using the slab technique, during remote learning students were asked to use found materials at home, such as cardboard.

The results were outstanding. Well done everyone!
