FAMILY MATHS GAMES

11th September

Another fun maths game that is great for ordering and comparing numbers. Could be perfect for Saturday if the predicted rain comes our way.

4th September

Here is your weekly maths game. This is a self-paced game that builds on the part-part-whole concept of addition. I do hope you are enjoying the games and wishing you all have an amazing weekend - Mrs Grant

28th August

We hope you've all enjoyed playing the maths games each week. Here is a game called 'Get out of my house' It is a great game practising mental addition and subtraction. Kids love to play it and enjoy kicking other players out of their house!! Have a go and send through some pics whilst you're at it!

Be sure to share any fun maths games you have with me so I can share with everyone! Mrs Grant.

21st August

It's going to be another cold weekend another great one to stay inside and learn a new maths game.

This is a simple game to help assist children learn the pairs of numbers to make 10. You can make it more challenging as a family to make higher numbers by turning over more cards at the same time. Older kids can use BODMAS to make the target of 20 with this game of memory.

Have fun and enjoy the challenge this week!

14th August

This week we have a maths game called Greedy Pig! You may have played this game at school or you might like to watch the video to learn how to play it.

It is a great game for developing understanding of probability concepts, as well as practising addition.

Have fun and stay safe!!!

7th August

With a weekend full of predicted rain there is no better time to learn a new family maths game. This game will allow students to work on their addition skills. All you need is a deck of cards and a piece of paper to score.  Give it a try if you like and email us some photos of your score boards -  melanie.price@education.vic.gov.au or see our Facebook post and upload your pics there.
