Br Gerry Faulkner Award for Young Writers and Illustrators

This week sees the launch of our annual Br Gerry Faulkner Award for Young Writers and Illustrators. Students across the College in Years 4 to 12 are invited to submit a piece of creative writing. This year’s award has been redesigned to include three main categories, including reading (short story or novel chapter), rhyming (poetry or verse) and illustrating (graphic novel or picture book). The award encourages students to further the skills they have learned in class and create a piece of original literature that builds on their interest in writing as a creative output.

Students can pick-up an entry form from the library and submit their piece to either the Junior or Senior School Library. Entries are due by June 24th and winners will be announced early in Term 3 at a special morning tea.
