Year 9 Drama

The year 9 drama class had lots of fun producing and performing the play “Sparkleshark” by Philip Ridley as part of our semester elective. Throughout the term we edited the script to suit us, learnt lines, designed props and created sound and light cues. The play was changed to become more modern and Australian, and our staging reflected this, with “eshay boy” costumes and graffitied sets. It was a very exciting time because we got to show everyone what we had learnt and all of our hard work. This week, we performed the play three times, for a year 8 class, our parents in a night-time performance, and on Thursday, to our friends.
