Budja:

What a fun week we had in our Budja class! Birthdays, discussions about birds, exploration of science, learning about self and our place in our world and lots of art, dancing and construction!

An area of curiosity this week was the trickle stream, with the addition of some bubbles: the children discussed at length where they had come from and what had caused them. And contrary to my thoughts around fairies having baths in the stream while we were away, the children have decided that the rocks have 'tiny holes that fill up with water and push out bubbles'!

It is amazing the depth of thought that the children have and how they take knowledge from concepts they already understand, and try and integrate them into new situations.

This week we are going to focus on taking the concept of empathy, kindness and responsibility further, as we continue to develop strong social skills and understanding as a class.

Gawarn:

It was a great week in the Gawarn class, with lots of music, dancing, construction and exploration had by the children.

It was wonderful to have Yushan and Kristy start in the class and the children seemed to really enjoy the changes that have been made and the sense of belonging that has been further supported by all the staff at Mt Pleasant Kindergarten.

We are excited to continue to provide an incredible learning environment for all of our students and families.
