Choose Your Own Adventure

We have had some year 7 & 8 incursions recently.  Ilona from the Geelong Regional Library attended the school library and ran a choose your own adventure writing workshop with the year 7’s.  The workshop was a lot of fun and really interactive.  Students were able to use a website to have a go at writing their own adventure and an opportunity to share with the group at the end of each session.  We may have some budding adventure writers in our midst, as there were some really creative fun stories being shared.

Year 8 were also joined by Ilona in the library for some interactive book battles, voting on each category to get a winner at the end.  This offered a great view into the books the students are interested in reading and having access to in the library at school.  It was also a chance for them to hear about new books and genres they may not be familiar with but would like to explore now.
