CURRICULUM FOCUS

This week in Reading, students will be learning about information texts. We will be looking at various texts and identifying the features. 

VOCABULARY

Information report: a text that shares facts about the topic.

Features: what the text includes.

Subheadings: tells us what the paragraph is about.

Diagrams: images with labels.

Captions: tells us about the picture.

Structure: what an explanation text is going to look like.
