Cavendish JSC World Cup 

The Junior School Council World Cup Soccer Tournament kicked off this week.

With three teams of 4 in the Junior Comp and four teams in the Senior Comp, the excitement levels were high.

The first lunchtime match were the senior teams of Panama 0 v Jamaica 0.

A large crowd cheered the players on. The result came down to a penalty shoot-out however some nervous inaccuracies resulted in a drawn game. Fun was had by everyone.

The second senior match was Portugal 2 v Netherlands 0.

The first junior match was Australia v Switzerland.

Some great skills were shown by the novice players. Although we had quite a few handballs, once again lots of fun was had by all.

The final result was  Australia 1 v Switzerland 2.

The last match for the week was Switzerland 1 v France 1.

More games will be held next week. On Monday, Portugal v Jamaica in the senior comp.
