Science Week & STEAM

National Science Week is Australia’s annual celebration of Science and Technology which runs each year in August. During our STEAM classes, students have celebrated Science Week with slime experiments, robot adventures and 3D printing designs. 

 

 

We even held our first ever STEAM Night to celebrate curiosity, design, creativity, innovation and problem-solving.

 

 

Thank you to the many families who attended last Thursday's STEAM Night. Your attendance, inquisitive thinking and enthusiasm ensured there was buzz of excitement throughout the library and 2/3 classroom. Our STM scientists, engineers and mathematicians built marble tracks, dissolved materials, created lava lamps, as well as used their mathematical knowledge and technology skills to engage in a range of activities. 

 

A big thank you to staff who helped run the different stations, and CONGRATULATIONS to Remy’s (in P/1) brother Luca who guessed the correct number of lollies in the lolly jar... 184!
