Library News

Afternoon character costume designers,

The countdown is on! 20 days to attach those sequins and finalise those last-minute details for those fantabulous costumes. On the 22nd we get to see these extraordinary costumes shine on your poppets. Who’s excited? I know, we need to remain calm.

The Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Book Week kicks off on the

19th-25th August. This year’s theme is Read, Inspire, Grow. On Tuesday the 22nd August, your children will have the opportunity to invite a special person to visit during the morning. They are also more than welcome to don a costume and join in the festivities (or not).

This year we are encouraging families to donate a book for our library. This book can be pre-loved or bought new from one of the many awesome bookshops in our community or a fabulous op shop. The book will have a special dedication featuring your child’s name and the special person donating the book. This is a lovely opportunity for students to have an awesome book in the library with their name in the cover. Nothing like having your name in a book! It’s very swish.

These can be dropped off to the front office. Please include the name of your child and the person donating the book.
