Sports dates for 2023

The Armidale Diocesan Primary Sports Council, webpage has this year's dates set for all sporting activities for Diocesan level and above. Please refer to this if you think you may need to plan for future events.

NSWPSSA Cross Country 21st July 2023

On Friday the 21st July Flynn travelled to Sydney to Represent St Mary of the Angels and Armidale Diocesan in the NSW PSSA Cross Country championships. Competing amongst the best of the states runners, Flynn put forward his best athletic ability, courage and determination to become the 56th fastest 10yr old boy over 2000m in NSW and assisting the Polding 10 year old boy team to win best region. 

Receiving a medal for his outstanding efforts Flynn come home feeling very proud of his accomplishment and thrilled to of made it so far in cross country running at such a high sporting level. 

An enormous effort from Flynn, Congratulations on a well deserved achievement.

Athletics training 

Mr Jon Welsh has kindly offered to take our interested students for athletics training on the following dates and times.

Please note this is NOT a school event and your presence will be required at any after school sessions.

Training days, from week 1, Term 3;

1. Tuesdays 3.30 pm at the Guyra Oval like last year
2. Thursdays from 2.30 to 3.15 pm at the school the same as last year

 This will continue until 18th August

House Colours 

St Mary of the Angels have 3 school house colours. We encourage our students to wear these on the day of the swimming carnival (as well as all future sport events), alternatively, sports uniform can be worn. In 2023 the school house colours are: 

McAuley - RED

Mercy - BLUE

Mackillop - YELLOW (previously green however this has been changed as of 2023 to not clash with the school uniform)
