Sports For Life

Last term students undertook a ‘Sports for Life’ unit. To finish off the unit they participated in two croquet sessions at the Beaufort Croquet Club. After members of the club introduced the game to the students, they then practised the skill of hitting the balls through the hoops with their mallets. Once the basic skills were grasped, students formed groups to commence play.

It was fantastic to see our students enjoying themselves while gaining new skills. As it turns out, croquet is very competitive! Students worked in pairs, developing their skills as the session progressed and picked up strategies to help their pair win hoops.

We would like to extend a huge thanks to Ron, Barb. P and Rod and Barb. B for their assistance with the session and for the delicious morning tea they supplied. Happy hooping!
