Creating Healthy Habits
Our Year 12 Food Studies students have been learning how to apply the healthy eating recommendations of the Australian Dietary Guidelines and The Australian Guide to Healthy Eating, to their everyday eating habits. They used the guidelines to adapt their meal selection, planning and preparation.
Once they completed a practical component, students were then required to analyse and reflect on the issues associated with navigating food and packaging information. Locating and understanding this information, in relation to the food they consume, is an incredibly valuable life skill that will assist with promoting healthy eating habits into the future.
