Week 2 Coolamon Challenge

This week's challenge are some riddles! Students are to write the answers to these riddles on a piece of paper and place it into the plastic sleeve in their classroom.  Winners are drawn Friday at assembly, and will receive an ice cream courtesy of The Coolamon Quirindi.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten are off and running for the start of Term 3. We have successfully participated in our first ever Athletics Carnival, although we couldn't decide on our favourite activity for the day.

This term is a busy term in Kindergarten. We are lucky to have a Hockey coach come and deliver lessons on a Wednesday during sport. Last week we were able to use the hockey stick to control and block the ball with our partners.

In Mathematics we have been looking at subitising numbers, this is the recognition of dot patterns such as dice patterns. Children are really confident with instantly recognising these patterns. In the following weeks we will be looking at addition & subtraction, patterns and mass.

Kindergarten are counting down to their 100th day of school, this Friday. We are excited to come to school dressed up as old ladies and men and complete a range activities focusing on the number 100.
