Principal's Report

We, at Miners Rest Primary School, would like to acknowledge the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation.

We pay our respects and thank the Wadawurrung people.

May we share your land. We promise to look after it, as well as the animals and people too.

Time flies!

It is incredible to think that we are rolling into the end of Week 4!

As we begin the last month of winter and begin to see some more sunshine, we look forward to our very soon-to-be-completed play spaces being back in use. We are excited to be near the end of this big project.

School Photos

Pick out the best of your child's uniform and send them with their best smile for photo day on Monday! We are looking forward to capturing 2023 classes in photo form and our Foundation children having their very first school photo.

100 Days of Learning

Speaking of our Foundies, they will celebrate 100 days of learning at school next Tuesday. Not a Foundy family? You won't miss the excitement altogether. The Foundation children will be singing their celebration song at next week's assembly for our whole school community to enjoy.

Farewell & Best Wishes

It is bittersweet that we farewell Emily Pellegrino this week as she begins Family Leave. Emily is renowned for her organisation, support of colleagues and genuine care of kids and passion for quality teaching. We wish Emily and Adam, and big brother Tom, all the very best as they await the arrival of their new baby. Emily's replacement in S1 will be announced to families tomorrow.

Looking forward...

We have lots to look forward to in the coming weeks including...

K-6 Tree Planting - let's cross our fingers for great weather!

Author Visits, to inspire our young writers.

Visiting Kindergarten children in the lead up to transition sessions.

Have a wonderful rest of the week,
