The Calm in the Storm

Yet again during a crisis, our Verney Road School Team showed us what they're made of. Their response to our families in need during the recent floods was nothing short of exemplary.  From cooking and supplying meals and food hampers to isolated families to supporting those in evacuation centres, our dedicated team worked tirelessly to meet our families' needs.

We can't thank our staff and broader community enough for this immediate response. We are very proud of our school community which priorities the wellbeing of all.

School Review

Last week was the first day of our three day Review.  Our Reviewer was really impressed with the calm learning environment which is underpinned by clear routines and differentiated learning. It was great to have this affirmation of the hard work that has gone into our teaching and learning and wellbeing programs over the last few years. 

We are really looking forward to planning for the next few years which will help us place ourselves in a position to get the best out of our new school for all of our students.

New School Plans Unveiled

It was fantastic yesterday to be able to share the draft plans for our new school which will be on the old Wanganui Park site. The input of parents and staff has been fantastic and we have been able to respond to their thoughts and ideas.  If you weren't able to make the session, but would like to discuss the plans, please catch up with one of us.
