Coles Partnership Visit

To celebrate the Brookside College SAKG and Coles Partnership, 3A students and the SAKG team hosted a fabulous afternoon tea with some of the region’s Coles managers.

Our visitors had a hands on experience of our cooking and gardening program. Some managers joined in with the cooking session to help prepare afternoon tea. Our mini chefs showed the visitors fantastic school values and awesome kitchen skills. Together we made sweet muffins and delicious potato and cheesy tomato pizzas using some of the fresh produce harvested from our garden.

Others gloved up and worked with our little gardeners to pot up berries and planted fruit trees donated by Caroline Springs Bunnings. The visitors were delighted to meet our gorgeous chickens and harvested some gigantic potatoes and garlic. Needless to say, they were super impressed with our harvest and the garden beds added using their generous donation. Casey from Bunnings joined in with the garden session and assisted in digging for potatoes.

During our afternoon tea, we all enjoyed the fresh fruit and the delicious food made by the kitchen groups. A massive gratitude to all the staff who attended, assisted and to Coles for presenting the SAKG program with $250 Bunnings voucher, a Nutri Bullet and saucepans.
