In Performing Arts, Year 1 and Year 2 students have been learning how to hold and play percussion instruments safely and correctly. They have learned how to take turns in music making and read simple musical notation.

Then Prep through to Year 2 students engaged in a unit of dance which introduced them to traditional, well known dances through to more modern and popular dances through to dance crazes and tictok challenges. Students loved seeing other people from around the world engaging in all sorts of dances and rose to the challenges of practising the choreography.

Students in Prep through to Year 2 are now involved in learning about improvisation. Improvisation is a form of live theatre in which the plot, characters and dialogue if a game, scene or story are made up in the moment. Students are having fun creating facial expressions, acting out animal movements and creating short dialogue and conversations.
