Life skills.(News From Hub) Healthy Living

 

 

 

 

 

Year 7, 8 and 9 students have been participating in a weekly life skill program focussing on Daily living skills such as healthy eating, cooking, gardening and shopping. The students are exploring the different food groups found in food pyramid. The food pyramid provides them with a visual representation of healthy and balanced diets and shows them the quantity of each food group, so that they know which group they can eat more and which group they can eat less. 

 

 

 

 

In the second activity are sanding and painting the recycled plantar boxes that they can grow their plants. They are having lots of fun with special benefits such as Responsibility (From caring for plants), Self-confidence (from achieving their goals), Physical activity (doing something fun and productive), Nutrition (learning about where fresh foods come from).
