Last term we started a Book Review promotion (and will continue this term) encouraging students to share what they like or didn’t like about a book they have read from the Library.

Every student who submits a review meeting our criteria gets a lolly. The criteria is simple.  The review must:

• Be about a book we have in the library
• Be a minimum of 80 words
• Be your own work (not copied from somewhere else)
• Include a rating out of 5 stars

Each week the top 5 reviews get a mini chocolate bar and at the end of the term we give a prize to the student who has submitted the most reviews and to the class who had the most individual reviewers submit reviews.

In Term 3 the class who submitted the most reviews was Y7A with 10 different students submitting reviews.  The entire class got a chupa chup each as a reward.

The student who submitted the most reviews was Nehal from Y8 who submitted 9.  Nehal won her choice of book as a prize.

We are running the promotion again this term with prizes again for the class and individual who submits the most book reviews as well as the lollies for each review submitted and choices for the best 5 each week.

Last term we received a total of 53 reviews.  Let’s see if we can get even more reviews this term.
