2023 Japan Study Trip

With the easing of COVID restrictions, Ballarat High School is excited to once again be able to offer a cultural trip to Japan in 2023. Planning is in the early stages, and the most important thing that we need is an indication of numbers.  This will affect costing and our ability to book/hold accommodation and transport. To this end we would like to get an idea of who has a very strong interest in attending the 2023 Japan Trip.

 

Details are below but planning is in the very early stages and dates may change. The school will also be running a Japanese Cultural exchange in 2024, so there is the option to take part in that trip instead. 

 

The difference is:

2023 trip – No exchange school program.  Japan mainland only.  Roughly 12 days. Cost capped at AUD$4000 

2024 trip – Homestay with our sister school.  Mainland and Northern Island (Hokkaido). Roughly 3 weeks.  Cost between AUD$4700-5000

 

 

Priority for 2023 Japan Study Trip placement:

  1. Year 11
  2. Year 10
  3. Year 12
  4. Year 9

 

Schedule is roughly:

  • Depart Australia early September 2023 for Tokyo.
  • Visit Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, maybe Hiroshima over the course of a week and a half
  • Universal Studios Japan
  • Tokyo Disneyland
  • Late September return to Melbourne from Tokyo
