Construction of our new Learn to Swim child-only changeroom facilities commenced in July 2022. The project has been running smoothly with minimal disruptions for our Centre users, thanks to the team of dedicated contractors working with Centre staff to ensure the facilities are finalised to the highest standard. The area will consist of two large changerooms (male and female), as well as four private change rooms (all gender, all abilities, family-friendly) for changing and showering of children before, and after their swimming lessons. The area will also provide a new multipurpose room for training and exercise programs.
We are very pleased to have the opportunity to invest in, and provide improvements to our facility that support The Friends’ School and Friends Health & Fitness’ commitment to child safeguarding and the customer experience.
Spring is a fantastic time to get re-energised and back on track to achieve your health and fitness goals. We have an incredible and passionate team ready to support you on your journey.

Despite the chilly and uninviting weather throughout winter, we have continued to see a growth to our group fitness timetable offerings, as well as a great increase in participation.
Monday 3 October marks a very exciting launch of our NEW group fitness class - FRIENDS45. An energetic and powerful workout to move your body, challenge your mind, and leave you wanting more.
Friends' Swimming commenced in July and we have been so enthused by the support and dedication of the Friends' Swimming families.
The Friends' Swimming program supports The Friends’ School in providing improved swimming pathways for its student base and Learn to Swim students, and allows the general community to gain access to high quality development programs and club swimming experience in a supportive, friendly environment. Our programs combine in-water training, strength and conditioning sessions in the gym, and structured dry-land training to focus on overall athletic development.
In September, 40 of our swimmers attended their first meet and achieved some incredible results, with every Junior swimmer achieving at least one personal best time, and former student Jonty Clues qualifying for the 2023 Australian Swimming Championships.
