WPS Community Children’s Garden

Rain, rain and more rain

Thankfully most of our veggies are in raised garden beds with loose gravel between, so the garden fared relatively well in the recent downpours. Some wood chips and gravel were moved by the water, but volunteer parent Tess and the students who love digging, made light-work of restoring the stairs and moving gravel into a couple of low-lying patches.

Backyard Bird Count 17 -23 Oct

Become a citizen scientist by joining the Aussie Backyard Bird Count this weekend. Simply download the Birdlife Australia – Aussie Bird Count app to your phone or log into the website for bird identification resources and to log your sightings. It only takes 20 mins and is an interesting activity to do while sitting on your verandah having morning tea with the kids.
