I would like to publicly acknowledge the magnificent job that our staff have done over the last two years in going the extra yard to help our students and families. At last week’s Parent Teacher Student Conferences there was an overwhelming expression of gratitude from our families for the care and flexibility of staff in ensuring our students keep connected and learning.
Many parents, carers and guardians mentioned the importance of students connecting via their compulsory google meet’s. I would also like to acknowledge their perseverance in making sure that their children continue to regularly attend these google meet’s. We have had our highest level of student online engagement ever in this last remote period. This has been a remarkable effort of collaboration across our whole Staughton Family.
Our school is conducting a survey to find out what parents/caregivers/guardians think of our school. The Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education and Training that is conducted amongst a sample of randomly selected parents/caregivers/guardians (previously known as the Parent Opinion Survey). It is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, student engagement and experiences of remote and flexible learning. We value what our Staughton Family thinks and will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies. All responses to the survey are anonymous. This year, the Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey will be conducted until Friday 3rd September.
Selected families will receive an email with a link. We would appreciate it very much if you could complete the survey. The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the fieldwork period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones. The online survey will be available in a range of languages other than English. These include: Arabic, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Chin (Hakha), Hindi, Japanese, Somali, Turkish, Punjabi and Greek.

We, at Staughton College, would like to show our respect and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which our school is situated, of elders past and present. We extend a warm welcome to everyone who visits our school.
