From the Religious

Co-Ordinator

In the Gospel on Sunday, we were reminded that Christ's Word and sacraments are life giving, eternal life giving. When we relate this message to contemporary society, we know that parents, for example, must have an eye not just to the physical and emotional, but also the spiritual nurture of their children. That includes the life of prayer and worship, of catechesis and witness. May this message continue to inspire us, especially in this time of pandemic, when we can't gather for worship in person. However, we can pray for Spiritual Communion.

On Friday the 3rd of September, we will virtually celebrate

Father’s Day during our Assembly Zoom at 10:15 am.

To participate in our Father’s Day celebrations, it would be wonderful if you could please email me (joanna.mutwicka@syd.catholic.edu.au) one or more of the following suggestions before Wednesday the 1st of September.

A photo/drawing of a father figure

Written dad joke. E.G: Why did the teddy bear say no to dessert? Because she was stuffed.

Galilee's Got Talent is a wonderful way for our students to showcase their talents and celebrate  Galilee’s Name Day on Friday the 8th October

All the students are encouraged to participate. They may wish to do a solo act or a group act. For example, students can sing a song, perform a dance routine, tell jokes, create a magic act, develop a skit, show off athletic skills, play an instrument, cook, perform aerobics, recite poetry, comedy, drama, trampoline tricks or demonstrate their own particular talent in their very own unique way.

All the students are encouraged to be creative, wear a costume and keep to a time limit of 2 mins. Please film an individual or a group performance. Then, email it to the following email address before Monday 4th October (Term 4 week 1). Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
