Principal's Report

Attendance

Upon returning to school, I wanted to take the opportunity to give some feedback on our attendance. It is excellent.  Well done to those who have returned to school smoothly and I thank our staff for having a greater focus on student wellbeing during this time.  It has had a positive impact on our attendance.  Every day definitely counts!

In addition to this, I am happy to say that Rose (our wonderful school chaplain) will move from two days per week to three days per week.  The time Rose takes to listen to children about their worries and concerns and provide support is outstanding. 

Parent Opinion Survey

Each parent should have received a link to the school’s Parent Opinion Survey last week.  Thanks to those who have taken the time to complete this.  Whilst the school is only required to send this survey to a small percentage of parents, I think it is important to allow every parent an opportunity to provide feedback through the survey. 

As a leadership group, we look at the areas we perform well in and areas we need to improve or change. 

Grade 6 and Prep Musical

For a variety of reasons, we have needed to move the date of our Year 6 and Prep musical.  The new dates are 31st August, 1st  and 2nd September.  We have our fingers crossed that restrictions are eased so we can offer more tickets to each family.  Stay tuned and watch for further communication in the coming weeks. 

Prep - 2022

This is a final call for any siblings that are yet to enrol for 2022.  Please come into the office to grab an enrolment form and submit it as soon as you can.  I am currently planning for 2022 and need as accurate Prep numbers as possible. 

Our New Gate

We have had a new gate installed on the back soccer pitch.  This gate leads out to the easement that runs down the side of our school (behind our portables).  I have asked the Year 2 teachers to open this gate in the afternoon as I know we have many families who walk out the front of the school and then walk down the easement. Feel free to use the new gate of an afternoon.  It will be open for 10 minutes to make it a bit quicker if you live/walk that way. This gate is not open in the morning.
