VICTORIAN PREMIERS’ READING CHALLENGE
Time is running out. We have less than a week before the Reading Challenge on Friday September 17. If you are close to the finish line, please add all the books you have read on to the website by this date. Students who have not received all their value cards and house points will get these after lockdown. The certificates will also arrive in Term 4.

INDIGENOUS LITERACY DAY
September 1 was Indigenous Literacy Day.
Indigenous Literacy Day is a day where we promote, advocate, and get a chance to experience the unique form of storytelling that is so important and central to Australia's First Nations people.
This was the 11th year the Indigenous Literacy Foundation hosted the event, and like last year, it was virtual.
Through their website, Indigenous Literacy Foundation uses this day to promote and celebrate the beautiful and unique stories of the various First Nations people by presenting a number of short stories on their website https://www.ild.org.au/.

Here is a poster that Mitchell, one of our two amazing library technicians, created for Indigenous Literacy Day. It features a selection of e-book and audiobook titles available for loan on the Wheelers database featuring stories written by and featuring Indigenous Australians.
