Futures - Grade 6 Focus

GRADE 6 END OF YEAR EVENTS

As we head into the second half of our Grade 6 students final year it is timely to lock in some important dates as we begin to assist them in transitioning to high school and celebrating their school life at JPII.

Wednesday 22 June

Leavers Tops were proudly presented by Principal Mr Gill. 

November 20: Parish Mass, Corpus Christi Church

This is on a Sunday and involves all the Grade Six students in the local Catholic primary schools. More information will be distributed closer to the date.

November 28: MacKillop Orientation Day and Bayview Orientation Day 

The orientation days will allow students to experience what life will be like next year 

at high school.  They will meet key staff and ask any relevant questions.  

Please note the Bayview Orientation date is still to be confirmed. Please contact us 

if you or your child would like additional sessions.

December 8: Grade Six Liturgy, John Paul II Catholic Church, 

10.00am to 11.15am 

The Liturgy will be the major event for our Grade Six students.  It will involve a liturgy led by Father Richard, presentation of Grade 6 graduation certificates, Grade6 awards and a special memories slideshow.  This will be an event for Grade 6 students and families. There will be a morning tea for students and families after the liturgy.

December 8: Grade 6 Dinner, Beaches Restaurant, Seven Mile Beach, 

5.30pm to 7.30pm 

This will be a student and staff only event.

The cost of the event will be $25.  

A menu form will be sent home later in the year. 

December 14: Grade 6 Big Day Out

This will be a day out full of fun and exciting experiences for our students.  

December 15: Last day for students & family barbecue, John Paul II Oval, 12.00pm to 1.00pm. This will be an opportunity for students to thank key staff and say their final goodbyes.
