Level 3/4

Welcome back to a new term in Levels 3 and 4! It’s wonderful to be back at school after a fantastic break!

The Level 3 and 4 students have had a great start to the term and are looking forward to all the exciting things coming up in Term 3!

We have started lots of new topics in the classroom over the first couple of weeks back at school. In Writing, Level 4 students have been working on information reports. Level 3 students have been learning about non-fiction texts and have practised identifying the different features. In Reading, students in levels 3 and 4 have been looking at how to identify the main idea of texts, and also how to determine the most important information.

In Mathematics, Year 3 students have been exploring measurement, and enthusiastically measured various objects found within the classroom. Year 4 students have started to learn about fractions, decimals and percentages.

We have begun our new Inquiry unit in which we are learning all about the history and culture of our First Nations people, including some wonderful celebrations for NAIDOC week.

We are continuing to learn all about our emotional wellbeing through the Resilience Project, with a particular focus on kindness and gratitude. Have a look below at some of the things our Year 4s are feeling grateful for after the holidays!
