School Council

Dear Parents,

What a difference two weeks make. Over the school holidays, the last of our school playgrounds was replaced with an exciting new series of playgrounds. This makes all three of our playgrounds brand new, with all meeting current Australian Standards. Now our children can happily play on three very different types of playgrounds, and parents can rest assured that they are all safe, they meet standards and that they will be inspected and maintained annually.

A very big congratulations and thank you to Anthony Michielin and the Buildings and Grounds sub-committee for leading this redevelopment over the past 18 months, and to previous leaders of the school for their foresight and determination to have an all-access playground installed to ensure each of our students has access to equipment regardless of ability.  Before and after photos of the current redevelopment can be seen below.

In other school council news as has been mentioned previously, we will be holding a parent forum on Tuesday August 2nd from 6pm. This will be a virtual forum to avoid unnecessary physical contact and to provide as many parents as possible the opportunity to take part and have their voice and opinion heard. A XUNO invitation will be coming out shortly with the details of how to register for the event. I would encourage as many of you as possible to register and take part to help shape the future of our school.

The information from this forum will be used in our school review as school council and staff compile our next School Strategic Plan covering the years 2023-26.

Regards,

Vince Scarfo

School Council President
