This week we welcomed back the students for another exciting term of learning.
We have jumped straight back into it, kicking off the term with student led conferences. In 3B, students explored the different strategies that a good presenter use. We created an anchor chart that listed all the qualities of a good presenter such as confidence, standing up straight, eye contact and using a loud and clear voice. Students then used these qualities to prepare for their student led conferences. They created cue cards to organise the order that they would present their learning in and to help keep them on track when they were presenting. They then partnered up with a peer to practise using a formal tone of voice and gave each other feedback by sharing two pieces of positive feedback and one piece of constructive feedback.
Eliana - I was beyond ecstatic to share my learning from the past term by showing my challenges and progress in Grade 3.
Ethan - I got to explain how I did my learning to my parents, it made me feel happy that I could share it with them.
Pranathi - I liked how my parents could look at my work and give me feedback, I will include this in my work for the next two terms.
Mahaan - I enjoyed showing my learning pieces to my parents because it made me feel proud of myself. My parents were smiling so I know they were proud of me too.
