Thank you to Pavirna, Nishita, Sanaaya, Aadyah and Amaya for helping with the following introduction:
Since the start of the school year, 2C has authentically developed and refined their whole class learning expectations by utilising Student Voice. Our learning expectations help us to improve our behavior, make our classroom better, take care of others and make sure that we have a happy and safe learning environment. Our expectations for learning with success in 2C are:
*Collaborate nicely with others in our school community
*Be an active learner by thinking hard at all times
*Keep our surroundings neat and tidy
The following students have shared their reflections:
When I get distracted, I look at the Learning Expectations to remind me of what to do – Kevon
We used our Student Voice because we voted and thought about what learning expectations are suitable and which ones we should keep and delete – Rehmat
Cleaning up your surroundings is important, or everyone wouldn’t be able to do their learning – Daham
If the teacher made the learning expectations, it might be hard to follow and understand. The class can follow the expectations because they chose themselves. – Abaan
Respect is important because others don’t feel good if they are sharing their learning and you are talking. – Radianne
Collaborating is important. I include others so they are not lonely. - Isa
