From the Principal's Desk

Dear Parents,

The next few weeks are shaping  up to be very busy with Confirmation, Camp, Book Week, St Bernard’s Day, more excursions and exciting learning. Our Science Inquiry has seen our students display the learner qualities of curiosity and collaboration as they investigate the physical and chemical sciences.

Confirmation

This Sunday, our Year 5/6 students will be celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation. The Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Terry Curtain and Fr Leo. Please keep these students and their families in your thoughts and prayers as they take this important step in their faith journey.

Year 5 /6 Camp

Our senior students will head off to the Phillip Island Adventure Resort for Camp on Monday 8th August. They certainly have a busy few days following their Confirmation. They will experience the Flying Fox, Giant Swing, Camp Cooking, Initiatives Course, Boulder Wall, Low Ropes and Archery over the 2 night, three day camp. We look forward to hearing all about their adventures when they return.

PD Day

Our next Professional Learning day is Friday 2nd September. The staff will be working with the staff from the northern region office of MACS on Religious Education. There will be no school for students on that day and OSHC will be open providing they have the minimum number required. 

COVID Reminder

Thank you to all those parents who inform us regarding close contact status.  This is extremely important information for us to have to understand the risks in our community. Any student that is a household/close contact can attend school providing they test for 5 days out of the 7 and each test must be negative. These students MUST wear a mask, when indoors at school.

There are several School Nurse surveys outstanding please return them to school as soon as possible.
