A note from Mr Jackson

Book Week Comes Alive!

A special thanks to all who were involved in celebrating the importance of reading in our recent Book Week celebrations. The Book Fair sold well over four thousand dollars of books! It was a tight squeeze with an enthusiastic book buying audience. We hope that many a story has been shared at home!

Everyone was thrilled to see our special guest ‘Hagrid’ host the Book Character Parade! Fairies, scientists, knights, witches and wizards flooded through the playground. It was a wonderful moment to place the power and joy of literacy at the centre of our community. Thanks to all our parents who explored dressup boxes and helped enable their child/ren to share in the event.

Trivia Night – Seats still available

Ring the office if you have just discovered that you haven’t a ticket at the trivia night on Saturday. There are some seats available and we would love to have you join us and share the fun! There is lots on offer with a trivia host that I am sure will be unforgettable.

Doughnut Day a Huge Success

Students enjoyed a special treat yesterday at recess. It was an important chance for us to raise funds to ensure the ongoing functioning of our Canteen. Thanks again for all who supported the event and in turn the viability of our canteen.

Arborist In on Saturday

We look forward to having our arborist in on Saturday to remove the broken branch in the Golden Wattle over the driveway. They will be completing a series of works around the site as part of the ongoing maintenance program at the school.

Prep to Year 2 Take to the Pool in Term 4

We are looking forward to participating in the 2022 Swimming Classes (Prep through to Year 2) next term. The five lessons will be held over the first week of school. This is an important opportunity for students to gain more confidence in swimming and water safety. The instructional component of the swimming lessons is covered by the Department Of Education. More information will be released shortly.

Concert Tickets – Released Next Week

Students have been excited to rehearse their dance steps for our upcoming concert in Term 4 on Wednesday 12 October. It has always been a memorable event that has caused us to laugh and be amazed! We are sure that no one will want to miss out on the purchase of Concert tickets that starts next week.

More information on the process to purchase tickets is available in the attached document. It is important to note that, in an effort to ensure all families have at least two seats, the timeline to purchase tickets is not able to be changed. Please read the document thoroughly and call the office if you have any questions.

Chess Change of Days

Please note that Chess this week has been moved to Friday afternoon. Please call Chess Mates if you are eager to be a part of the session.

Human Development Sessions Go Ahead

With strong support, we are thrilled to go ahead with the planned human development sessions for students in Years 3/4 and 5/6. Now that we have completed an expression of interest process, consent notes and further information will be sent home shortly. Please contact the office if you would like further information or speak with your child’s classroom teacher.
