BOOK WEEK CELEBRATIONS
Book Week is fast approaching and we have planned an exciting week with different events happening on different days. Please read the outline below so you can be prepared for these amazing learning experiences.
This Year’s Theme: Dreaming With Eyes Open
Book Fair - Tuesday 23rd August - Thursday 25th August
8.15am - 8.45am and 3.30pm - 4.00pm
This will be held in the Year 6 Classroom.
A colouring competition is underway and the winners in each year level will receive a $10 voucher to spend at the Book Fair. Entries close Monday 15th August.
Pyjama Day - Wednesday 24th August
In keeping with this year’s theme the students will dress up in their pyjamas and bring their favourite book to school to share with the class. They can also bring a teddy if they wish. This is to encourage reading at bedtime as a positive experience and a routine which promotes the joy of reading.
Multi Age Rotations
From 11.10 - 1.50, students will work through 3 rotational activities in their multi age groupings F - 6. They will work with 3 different teachers around the school who will read them a book and help them complete a fun activity related to it.
Movie Night - Thursday 25th August 2022
5.00pm - 7.15pm. Please check the P&F page for further details.
Friday 26th August 2022
All students F - 6 will watch a Live Performance called Story Quest which will be related to the Book Week nominated books. The performance will commence at 2.00pm in the School Hall. Parents and carers are welcome.
