Principal's Message

(Heads, Hearts & Hands)

Liam Buckley

Dear Families

On Friday we celebrated 100 Days in Foundation!

What a wonderful achievement and we are so happy and proud of our children. Miss Wood is doing an incredible job and we thank her for the energy and passion she puts into St Josephs.

First Holy Communion

Thank you to our Year 4 students, Ms Cooke, Ms Sullivan and Ms Portelli for the preparation for this sacrament.

It was great to see extended families attending the Mass and we thank Father David for a lovely service.

Thank you also Julia who played beautiful music during the sacrament.

Confirmation

This sacrament will be held on Friday 19th August at 5.30pm at St Joseph's Church. Bishop Tony Ireland will be visiting the candidates on Thursday the 18th to talk to them about their chosen saint's name and their preparation. Bishop Tony will then celebrate the sacrament with the students on Friday evening.

Ms Cooke and Mrs Phyland are busy preparing the students.

We are inviting parents and pre-schoolers to visit St Joseph's on Thursday afternoons on the following dates between 2.30pm - 3.30pm:

Please let friends and neighbours know if they are looking for a school for 2023.

It's an informal and fun way to visit St Joseph's and meet some staff and children.

Covid 19

We are experiencing some COVID cases at school again and many second time infections. We will try to keep our normal classes running as much as possible where we can.

Year 3 Maths

Mr Sandison and the class took advantage of the beautiful sunshine this week and were learning outside. There was some great problem solvers in the class as they tackled division.

Hooptime

Our senior students will be taking part in Hooptime at MSAC on Thursday and our Year 3/4 students next Tuesday. Any parents who can help please let us know.

Please note that there will be a school closure day on Sept 9th (Friday) for Staff professional development. This extra day has been granted by MACS due to the disruption schools have had due to staff shortages with COVID.

Extra-curricular Clubs at St Joseph's

Our clubs are up and running....
