Special Birthday Celebration

On Tuesday we celebrated a very special birthday milestone for Joe our wonderful crossing supervisor who turned 90. Joe has been supervising the crossing for 18 years. He is one of the most dedicated and committed people you will find. He sets a wonderful example for all our students and community members and watches out for all the children and families in and around the school.  Joe loves seeing all the students as they come in the morning and leave at the end of their day.

As well as the marvellous job that Joe performs keeping our students safe each morning and afternoon, he also has a wealth of knowledge in gardening which he is always happy to share with anyone who has a question. We wish Joe a very Happy 90th Birthday and we hope he has a super celebration this Sunday with his family and friends.

We will be holding a Pupil Free Day on Monday 29th August. The staff will work in their professional learning teams to utilise the assessment of student learning to plan and complete some targeted professional learning.

Working Bee

Finally, we have our first working bee in a long time this Saturday from 9 – 11 am. The main purpose of the working bee is to move and spread Softfall under the play equipment. We look forward to seeing as many families as possible here on Saturday. Morning tea will be provided.
