Citizenship Awards

The weekly citizenship awards have been introduced as an initiative of the student leaders of Old Orchard to recognise students who demonstrate strong citizenship qualities. These might include:

• Going out of their way to care for others
• Being respectful and helpful to staff members
• Being respectful of the school and classroom environment
• Demonstrating exemplary manners and interpersonal qualities
• Showing appreciation of the successes and achievements of others

Teachers at each year level meet to nominate one student from their year level per week to receive a citizenship award.  This week's award recipients are:

Hannah Silverwood (1CD) - Hannah is an exceptional student who consistently shows all our expected behaviours and is an excellent role model for others.

Maya Sotiriadis (2LT) Maya is a wonderful role model in everything she does. She has been particularly helpful when rehearsing our songs for the junior concert. Fantastic work, Maya!

Sasha Neilson (6MC) Sasha is an amazing role model to everyone, both in the yard and in the classroom. She articulates her opinions and tries her best in everything she does. Sasha is kind, caring and incredibly responsible!
